A warm welcome awaits you at Koromiko Homestead in the beautiful countryside 7km south of Picton. Set within ten acres of fields and gardens, this Qualmark 4 star B&B is conveniently located a short distance off SH1. This boutique accommodation is the ideal base location to unwind and relax in when you arrive at the top of the South Island, before and after walking the Queen Charlotte Track, or to explore the attractions of Marlborough before catching a ferry or plane to Wellington.  For your added convenience, we provide fully licensed courtesy transfers from/to Picton Airport and Picton Ferry terminal.

On your arrival, join your hosts for a chat and share a pot of tea and freshly baked scones or muffins. During the day you can relax in the warm and sunny quality self-contained accommodation, or unwind with a stroll through the extensive gardens, smell the roses and watch the native birdlife.
Need to de-stress? Jasmine, the family cat is an expert, who will show you how to do just that.

At sundowner time, your hosts, Pat and Ian, invite you to join them outside on the garden deck or in the lounge, for a complimentary glass of award-winning Marlborough wine with nibbles before you dine out at one of the extensive choice of excellent restaurants within 30-minute radius. This is an ideal opportunity for you to find out about the wide range of activities available in the Marlborough region.

Koromiko Homestead prides itself on ensuring you have a pleasurable and truly enjoyable stay with us. We are happy to assist you in arranging bookings for tours and further accommodation in New Zealand.

Your hosts Pat and Ian McKinnon

Originally from England, we experienced living in a variety of different countries before settling in New Zealand. We have a wide range of interests and experiences and particularly enjoy chatting with overseas guests, and introducing them to some of the spectacular sights and experiences to be enjoyed while visiting this lovely country that we now call home. Both of us enjoy sailing. We built and lived aboard a 43ft ketch in England, and have since owned a number of other yachts.

Ian is particularly fond of classic cars, and has previously owned an MG TD and MG VA. Find out more about hiring one of our classic style sports cars as part of your holiday experience in Marlborough.

Pat practiced as a Registered Naturopath for many years, and is passionate about preventative medicine and good nutrition.

We currently have a long term project underway in further developing the Homestead gardens. Both of us have always been keen to preserve the environment, so we are very particular when it comes to caring for our land.  We  use a combination of biodynamic and permaculture approaches in cultivation throughout the property, and the vegetable, herb and fruit gardens provide the Homestead with tasty, fresh, spray-free produce. Review our Environmental Policy.

The extensive Homestead gardens offer a profusion of flowers and scents to wander through. Go visit our happy hens wandering through the paddock, or pause along our woodland walk to simply sit on a bench and listen to the native birdsongs.
